Heavy Traffic at Tuas Woodlands Checkpoint During Lunar New Year

SINGAPORE: With the Lunar New Year holiday coming up on Feb 19, traffic flow through checkpoints at Woodlands and Tuas is expected to be heavy.
In a statement, the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) said traffic volume at the two land checkpoints was expected to build up beginning Friday, and would continue till Feb 22.

Travellers using the checkpoints during this period can expect delays.
For departure, ICA said traffic was expected to be particularly heavy on Feb 17 and 18 – two days before the Lunar New Year holiday period.
For arrival, traffic is expected to be particularly heavy on Feb 21 and 22 – the weekend of the Lunar New Year holiday period.
To avoid a surge of travellers and vehicles seeking clearance at the land checkpoints, ICA advised travellers to adjust their travel plans, if possible. – Bernama
